Mrs. Cousins passed away Friday, September 15, 2017. Born in Little Mountain, she was a daughter of the late R.T. and Dallas Feagle. Mrs. Cousins was a 1946 graduate of Winthrop College and met her sweetheart, best friend, and husband at a bus station in Newberry. After being wed, they settled in Columbia, became active members of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, and started a family. She was a dedicated homemaker and kindergarten teacher who loved to chat, and had a knack for finding a connection to someone you knew in no time flat, making everyone feel nothing but welcomed in her home. In retirement, Neet and Charlie spent much of their time in the service of others, especially through the Meals on Wheels ministry.

She is survived by her husband, Charles E. Cousins; sons, Charles F. Cousins (Sharon), Thomas E. Cousins (Molly); grandchildren, Mary Patricia Byrd (Brad), Robert Thomas Cousins, David Rainey Cousins, Zachary Wolfe Cousins; great-grandchildren, Benjamin Martin Byrd and Charles Gerald Byrd. She is also survived by a sister Barbara Feagle. Mrs. Cousins was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Ellerbe. Some of her last days were spent bouncing her two great grandsons on her lap, a smile on her face.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1715 Bull Street, Columbia, SC 29201 or the Heritage at Lowman, 201 Fortress Drive, White Rock, SC 29177.
